My current excitement is undeniably embarrassing! I received images from our lovely friends at Bookhou with updated images of our business cards!! I can almost smell the fresh ink and paper. For those of you that know me know how much I love art and high quality print and press! While these images are not the final product, I could not wait to share them with you. The corners still need to be rounded and there is a surprise element that will be added shortly. I will post a pic of the final card when we receive them in the mail!!
I just wanted to take a moment and share with you my thoughts on the importance of branding. First off, it is important to find artists that have the potential to create your vision. Our designer, Lindsay Preston was amazing and took our jumble of a vision and transformed it into a piece of art (at least I think so:)! I was recently at a seminar on business and branding and these are the bullet points that I took away.
1-Get a great logo. Place it everywhere.
2-Write down your brand messaging. What are the key messages you want to communicate about your brand? Every employee should be aware of your brand attributes.
3-Integrate your brand. Branding extends to every aspect of your business--how you answer your phones, your e-mail signature, everything.
4-Create a "voice" for your company that reflects your brand. This voice should be applied to all written communication and incorporated in the visual imagery of all materials, online and off. Is your brand friendly? Be conversational.
5-Be true to your brand. Customers won't return to you--or refer you to someone else--if you don't deliver on your brand promise. To me, this is the most important point. If you do not believe in your brand then who will?
6-Be consistent. If you can't do this, your attempts at establishing a brand will not succeed.
I hope these points will help. They not only apply to photography but to any business endeavor! Enjoy the beautiful spring weather and look back soon as I am about to fill you with an image sensory overload!!!!
Cheers!
